This album was originally released around 1994, at the time when the arrival on the market of the ADAT digital 8-track recorder made home recording available to the masses. Everything now seemed possible to musicians who had been used to paying huge bills for professional studio time before then. The recording have a roughness and energy of a digital Nouvelle Vague (and some of the limitations too) which sound surprisingly fresh in our incredibly formatted music world of 2020!
Tracks 12,13 and 14 are from an EP originally released by Large Water Productions/JMG circa 1996 when the first serious DAW became available. The sound and arrangements are more complex, even more so in the last three previously unreleased songs (98-99)
